Summary
A collection of short stories for the FFXIV Writing Challenge 2022, revolving around my Miqo'te WoL and friends. Sometimes sad, sometimes silly—the breaks are broken, come join me on this rollercoaster. Themes will vary and warnings will posted in each chapter.
Onerous—Adventuring with friends is fun. Until you're in a dungeon and questioning how you might stuff one into a monster's maw without anyone noticing.
Channel—Khri watches the dance floor like hawk, prepared to strike any who might dare to interrupt.
Miss the Boat—How many chances had he let fear hold back the words in his heart? No more.
Attrition—The WoL has a tattoo? Of what and where Alisae and Khri plan to find out.
Anon—He stares at his laughing friends blankly. Then one lifts up a book and he gapes.
Fetch—The WoL is tired of being abused by people too lazy or cheap to hire real help. Yeah, he’s done.
Break a Leg—Estinien stares down at the object in his hands. He's not sure he understands the need for it.
Hail—The WoL's accent is never stronger or harder to understand than when he's drunk. Slurring probably doesn't help.
Sojourn—No matter how far he goes or who he is to the rest of the world. This is home. -
