Summary
Jasmine wakes up, from her nap, to someone poking her. She does not look, but guesses who this certain someone is. “Dizia, there is nothing in the closet. I’m not going to check again.”
“Jazz, wake up. I lost Eden, and I need help.” Adella begs in a mournful voice, and Jasmine realizes that this is not what she expected.
“What? How did you lose Eden!?” Suddenly, she is wide awake, sitting on her bedside.
“Just chill, I have a plan, but you need to help us.” Adella’s confession isn’t calming Jasmine down, not even one bit. “The plan is that we will go to the forest and find Eden.”
“Okay, I will be honest. I have never heard bigger nonsense.”
Or: They are walking through a snowy field when Eden decides to investigate strange lights in the forest. But misfortune befalls her. Adella, Jasmine, and Dionissia find Eden barely alive.

Harrow's sleep schedule had been a terrible mess as long as Gideon had known her. This, like her tendency to snap at her with words she'd probably learnt reading the dictionary for fun, got worse with stress. Usually, the worst of her stress at least had the decency to wait until a few weeks before exam phase to kick in. This time, it did not.

“Stay close. I want our best warriors on display,” Greely whispers.
I nod and follow him to the middle ground to meet the Roman general. Right away, I don’t like him. He holds his head too high for someone being carried by other people. His litter stops short so that he can dismount and walk the rest of the way to us. It takes effort not to roll my eyes at all the servants and subordinates he thinks he needs. I look from his handsome face to the rest of his party. Three servants just to hold his cloak? Really? I look past his officers to the maid servants that had walked by his litter and helped him down. The scars on my cheek tingle as the one staying closest to his side holds my focus.
My heart jumps into my throat and it takes everything in me to stay upright when I look closely at her face. Traveling right next to the so-called general is Hayden.
