I mean it's all in the title. Siffrin meets the King pre-canon and pre-freezing everything, and turns out he's... Well not chill or normal but!! More normal! Functional! And also has attachment issues and is very happy to have a clingy Siffrin crawl into his chest. Start of a small series with this premise that they met up well before everything started just so I can torment Siffrin with tragedies and the party with the awkwardness of a shamelessly autistic man adopting them.

This is my first attempt at a fic, and writing in general, for a few years so please go easy one me!
Set after an alternate bad ending where Basil was saved before his plan could be finished. Though still with nothing resolved and more than a few things left awry. Or really, left in shambles. Hero is lost as to what to do in life. Kel lost his spark some time ago but continues to put on a show. Aubrey is desperate to not lose who she still has. Nobody's seen Sunny in years. And poor Basil has completely lost his mind, luckily his friends refuse to give up on him.

Your ear twitches. It sounds like humans, the voices too large and booming to be from someone like you. A small shudder runs down your spine. You… do not particularly like interacting with humans. It usually doesn’t go well.
But you also know that one individual does not define an entire species… thus, you are debating with yourself here.
Whatever those humans are fighting, it doesn’t sound like they’re winning.

Summary
Due to an omega suppressant shortage, Isabeau is rationing, and it seems he's about to go into heat. Everyone's trying to make it to the next time so they can do this at an inn, but everyone quickly realizes: 1) Siffrin has gone missing in the night and 2) *Siffrin* is the one about to go into heat. Now Isabeau, Odile, and Mirabelle have to team up to try to track down their missing Omega, and surely everything will be fine when they find him, right?
