“Pull, don’t push,” a calm voice from your left droned. Your head whipped to the side. Hair matted to the bloody side of your face, the liquid faintly obscuring the person who spoke to you. A boy, his body turned towards the carnage with an almost serene look on his face.
Red eyes.
You yanked on the handle, swaying when the door gave way. It only opened a crack before bumping against the body of a classmate at your feet. Whining, you pulled harder, the body at your feet sliding with ease in the ever growing puddle. Your body slipped through the door the moment there was enough room, shaking your dizziness off and wiping at your sticky skin. There was no thought, only escape. Footsteps slapped against the tile as you sprinted the length of the hall. If you looked for long enough, you'd realise that you were leaving a small red trail behind you as the screaming got quieter. Further. Further still.
You didn’t know if it would ever be far enough.

Summary
Some call him disfigured or discolored.
They focus much too heavily on the outer turmoil taking its toll on his skin instead of the implications of what is happening within his body – the struggle in seeing himself this way and coming to terms with all that he has lost, marked on his body forever in the form of scars.
Marred flesh, crooked knuckles, gnarled bones.
He relives his trauma every time he looks in a mirror, another cut turned to pinkened scar, another use of his quirk marking his body permanently with a plethora of the color red. He wonders for a moment if he will ever feel whole again, or if he will always see himself as this patchwork thing that the universe toys with by ripping apart just to sew it back together again.
Izuku Midoriya is a mausoleum of pain.
And yet, despite all his physical fallacies, you still find him beautiful.

You ignored this sensation and felt your face heat to an insane degree. “Fuck, I’m sorry. They’re all telling stories about me, I got distracted.”
You glanced up, and you stopped breathing.
It was him. Of course it was him.
The pro-hero, Deku. The son of your father’s soon-to-be wife. Hearing all about how you’re The Boyfriend Destroyer and seeing you almost eat ass because of a messed up carpet.
