Summary
You turned your head. Not too much, but enough. You know you did.
"Green light."
The pain of falling hits you before you can register anything. Then-- nothing. Everything slows. The world distorts, as if you're underwater. A deep, suffocating silence swallows you whole. Your ears ring, high-pitched relentless. It drowns out everything else.
You blink. Once. Twice. The ground beneath you feels too solid, too real.
Someone grabs your arm. Their lips move, shaping words you can't hear, The world is muffled, warped, like a dream just out of reach. You look down. 456. The number stares back at you from the jacket of the man crouching in front of you. Your breath catches. The air is thick-- wrong. Like you're choking on the aftermath of something you weren't meant to survive.
You know it. You moved. You felt it. The misstep, the shift of your head.
So why are you behind the finish line; safe as a kitten?

She doesn't remember him, but the way his gaze lingers feels like a thread pulled from a life she's already lost.
He shouldn't care if she lives or dies; yet, in a game where trust is fatal, he keeps saving her anyway.Bookmarked by Importanthoodie

Summary
“He’d trudge through hell every day if it meant he came back to her by the end of it. And look where he ended up. The woman he loves so much, hating him like an enemy. The books never mention a fate worse than hell. But he had found it. In the arms of an island devil.”
Reiner Braun had once been the man you love, but revealing himself as the Armored Titan made everything complicated. And the feelings of sadness you keep buried down beneath a shield of anger. It isn’t until he kidnaps you and brings you to his homeland of Marley that you begin to see him in a different light. His attempts to reconcile are, he thought, in vain, but maybe there is hope for the love you once shared after all.

Summary
The letter arrived in the early afternoon, folded and sealed with the crest of the Survey Corps. It was handed off by a runner, his face still red from exertion, and placed delicately on Captain Alma Osborne’s desk like an unexploded bomb. Alma glanced at it once, decided she didn’t care for its smug posture, and went back to cleaning her knuckles. The sharp stinging of the antiseptic she dabbed on her hands was a familiar sensation, one that barely registered anymore.
The letter, however, had a more insistent presence.
“You gonna open it, or should I start praying for your soul now?” said Deke, her second-in-command, as he leaned against the doorframe. He had the lazy grin of a man who didn’t know when to leave well enough alone.
“It’s a letter,” Alma replied without looking up. “Not a death sentence.”
“From the Commander of the Survey Corps. I can tell by the fancy wax colour.” Deke whistled. “Must be in deep shit, old girl.”
She chuckled, chucking her rag aside, “Still breathing, aren’t I?”Series

Summary
She froze at the mention of Moonrise. It was their first solid lead since the nautiloid crashed, but the news filled Tav with dread. She knew all too well the evil that besieged that land. Without thinking, she stepped close to Halsin, leaning in so only he could hear her. She reached up and grabbed his arm, trying to keep her balance.
“You’re sure that’s where we need to go?” she asked quietly, in Elvish. “That is no easy task.”
His expression softened and he gave her a knowing look in response.“You know of this place?” He lowered his voice to match hers, as smooth as his voice was before, it was nothing compared to hearing him speak their native tongue.
“Unfortunately, yes. I would not go back there unless I had no other choice.” Tav’s hand was starting to shake slightly against his arm, but he placed his other hand over hers to steady it. His hands were lightly calloused but warm and comforting. She felt the blushing feeling returning to her face.
“It will be dangerous, but it can be done. And perhaps, we can see the light there again.” he whispered back. His voice was hopeful, but his face was a mask of pain.
