Now that Miles was done with school, he had more time to hang out with his friends, which is exactly what he was gonna do. Gwen, Hobie, Pavitr, and him were all sitting on the beach enjoying themselves, chatting, and playing Mario Kart. It should’ve been a perfect night, but of course a certain “Vampire” spider had to come and ruin it.

Peter never actually thought he and MJ would be using the guest bedroom all that much. The wayward in-law visit here and there, maybe an old friend stopping by for the night but never anything more.
However when you're the only stable-ish adult surrounded by emotionally inconsistent teens with varying home lives, you find that room to be much more frequently visited.

"Well yeah," Hobie clears his throat, "'cause we're best buds."
"Aw cute."
Then, at that very moment, Hobie is struck with a slice of genius. An idea so amazing it will never fail him or backfire in any way. It might even offer Miles some relief and give Hobie his fridge back. His mouth is moving before he thinks too deeply about it.
"Yeah, we're dating actually," Hobie says, with a dead serious expression on his face, "mad in love."
