Christmas was a big thing in L’manburg. It was the one time a year all five districts put aside their differences, come together, rich or poor, to enjoy the holiday. It was so big, in fact, that a huge christmas tree, as tall as a skyscraper 50 stories up, was lit in the center of district one. It was supposed to be a big lighting event this year, and over a million people would be outside to watch. Too bad no one told the blizzard that.

Fiddling with the front of his armor, Tommy listens to the wind and lets his anger simmer down, patting at Clementine’s scales. He closes his eyes, then snaps them open almost right away at hearing a quiet woosh of air nearby. There’s movement in the corner of his vision, someone on their dragon, and Tommy’s lips curl into a scowl, annoyance flaring through him.
“Oh, fucking come on, Wilbur!” He sits up with a huff, turning his head. “I said-” Tommy’s ready to start yelling, but he falters in his words right there, feeling his voice die in his throat.
It’s not Wilbur.
(Or, HTTYD Au except I start off on the part I really wanted to write and then proceed to write Reunions bc I like family dynamics.)

“Uh— Phil?” The man calls over his shoulder, golden eyes never leaving Tommy’s face, “I need your help over here.”
Tommy bares his teeth, wings fluttering threateningly. He doesn’t want the man to get help, he wants him to go away.
Another man steps into view. This one is short and blonde, with wings a hundred times bigger than Tommy’s, and he’s dressed just as nice as the first man. He hasn’t seen Tommy yet; he’s looking at the big pink one. Mouth open like he’s going to speak.
Tommy hisses again, louder this time. And the man's head snaps towards him— which doesn’t scare Tommy. He doesn’t shrink back, doesn’t try to tuck away his wings with a whine. Because he’s big. He’s big and scary; nothing is scarier than him and he knows it, because he says it.
“Oh,” The man says softly, expression falling at his eyes dart across Tommy’s face. “Oh, mate.”

Tommy is a small little gooseboy who gets picked up by some bewildered ambassadors and their son. Shenanigans ensue.

Or Tommy is apart of an evil group and gets taken by P.o.G after an accident. Soon he learns that his supposed enemies might not be that bad.
