Summary
Hermione had worked in R&D at Gringotts for the last few years of her varied career. As such, she had been in the archives doing research on a power problem that was endemic in the higher warding schemes when a rival to her work appeared before her. The former ‘Claw had decided to get a jump on her in that particular research and cast an untried spell at her to make her disappear.
