Summary
An Alternative Universe that aims to rewrite the Fairy Tail series articulated around the themes of a single fanfiction, itself inspired by a single idea: what if Natsu's coping mechanism was to forget, but something so terrible and marking happened to him that he could no longer hide from it, nor feel safe confiding in his friends about it?
This evolved into the cluster of ideas you now know, which involves me absolutely destroying (and deconstructing) Natsu in order to rebuild him, born from my frustration with the way the story unfolded in canon. While sadly, this can no longer be considered Lucy's story, she is still featured prominently in it.
There are going to be massive changes in the series' lore, with a prominence of OCs centered around the Dragneel family and its evolution through time (or should I say lack of luck? I should, actually). Also, Gods.
Please help me this universe has been living rent free in my head since 2014 and just keeps growing out of control.- Words:

Amazing take on the Tadashi Lives AU that involves interesting and realistic responses to trauma from the friend group and genuinely lets the other characters have their own problems! Definitely worth revisiting for inspiration on how to write the truth about a traumatic event getting out and the reasons/ways it is hidden without letting it distract from the fact that they all very much love and support each other (because the way it's kept hidden usually involves the other characters missing all the cues or not bringing up these cues, or the character hiding the truth doing so because they don't trust the people who're their friends).
