Summary
“We can’t stay here, Vik,” Jayce says. He gestures around them and shakes his head. “This place is hurting you.”
“And what do you care of that?” Viktor tilts his head to the side. “You wanted me dead. I don’t care if you changed your mind. You took that hammer and you shot it at me. Me!” Viktor gets into Jayce’s face for emphasis. After he’s said his piece, though, he steps away. “I’m adjusting. No thanks to you.”
“V…”
“It’s Viktor. Don’t address me like we’re friends.”

Jayce made a promise not to fail and failed anyway. Now he has to live with those consequences while Viktor refuses to leave the Great City of Demacia as its petricite slowly saps all his magic away. Jayce wrestles with that promise to the other Viktor and the outcome he'd been shown while his Viktor tries to help the people suffering in the Great City. Viktor is now not only in danger due to his own actions, but is being hunted by Demacia's Mageseekers. Will Viktor forgive him? Jayce doesn't think so, but even in rejection, Jayce can't leave Viktor's side. -
