It's 2011 and something awful, maybe even unforgivable, has happened between a much older Patrick and Paul. Deciding to take some space, Paul goes on vacation by himself (at least for the first couple days, he told Patrick to come up later), and something is...off. The beaches are empty save for one stranger that leaves Paul with an eerie sense of familiarity and a storm is supposedly brewing on the horizon. What's going on?

Summary
Patrick was grateful for one thing, Paul didn’t give a shit about the holidays. He went to see his mother on the weekend of Hanukkah but it was more of an obligation to her than anything else. He didn’t celebrate Christmas unless it was something Patrick was yanked into or an office party, there was no pressure to perform. It was a relief coming off from Evelyn and her incessant need to make a big fucking deal of it. But still, Patrick did usually get Paul something without saying. A force of habit maybe but he never tried to make it look like it mattered all that much. After all, Paul usually gave him something like a new CD he’d never play or a blow job so it was equal. This year the gift weighed on his mind to a terrifying degree, just the thought of following through made his vision blur.
“I have something for you,” said Patrick, running his moist hands along his thighs.
“Oh?” Tilting his head, Paul grinned at him. “Not something you planned to throw out, I’d hope.”
“Just go to the bedroom.”
