Summary
The Candle is dependent on the Madrigal family to keep it alive, but the first warning has already been given, and if something doesn't change soon, it will go out long before the next generation of Madrigals can be born. In desperation, it turns to The Magic that brought it into existence to save it, Casita, and the family it's been tasked to look over.
The Magic is not sure what to do, it cannot create another candle, another buffer, not in the family's current condition. But then, it gets an idea.
A second candle cannot be made, but another can be borrowed, from another family. If only for a little while.

Bruno Madrigal passed out, attempting to give his Mama the tablet she begged him for.
He tried, for his niece, if anyone, but he had been tired, plagued with visions every night, and his body gave out on him.
No worries. He can always try tomorrow.With no dramatic disappearance of one Bruno Madrigal on the night of her birthday, Alma Madrigal is allowed time to think, to understand. Surely Mirabel not gaining her gift couldn't be at the fault of a five-year-old? Right?
But her family has jobs, and a duty to the town, people who rely on them. They will not coddle her forever. if she cannot help the town with a gift. She'll help out in some other way.
And if her namesake, Agusín's Aunt, Mirabel Rojas, is willing to take on an apprentice, then surely her talent for needlework can be put to use.

7 years ago Alastor and Vox had their big fallout. Alastor never believed that Vox and Valentino would last very long together and that their little alliance would fall through during his time away. He was certain that after his return from his sabbatical that that dreaded picture box would come crawling begging to be by his side with no moth in sight. Ready to follow him around like the good old days. What he didn’t expect was for that damn television to completely ignore him. No, not ignore but act like he never knew him at all.
But it’s not an act Vox didn’t seem to know about Alastor at all. Only that he was the radio demon and a fellow overlord. Did their last fight cause this? What happened to Vox while he was away?
