Summary
Desmond fulfilled his destiny, as was foretold. He lived four different lifetimes, give or take a few, and just wanted some damned rest, away from responsibility and the weight of the world on his shoulders. What does he get instead? A new world to save and a fantastical evil he was in no way prepared for. An Assassin works in the shadows, but Desmond is raised up as the figurehead of a religion he doesn't believe in, to save a world not his own, and be the leader of an army. The question isn't can he do it, the question is how.

Summary
Desmond Miles has spent a year and a half in Thedas figuring out his place in a world filled with magic and chasing down an elven god intent on tearing apart reality. A task not wholly unlike his past and just as likely to end in his demise. But things aren't as cut and dry as they were in his original world, and now his actions have made things one thousand times worse. When everyone is looking to him to fix everything once again, he becomes what is needed, as any good Assassin would. Although, any good Assassin would find a way to do it out of the limelight, but Desmond has always been good at adapting to whatever life throws at him, and he was determined to make sure this time would be no different.
