Nie Huaisang has more important things to deal with in his life than the sudden epiphany Lan Wangji has of being in love with him after they've been married for over a decade. If he agrees to show him some ways to have sex and plays this just right; he should be able to convince Hanguang Jun to find a new partner, get revenge against Jin Guangyao, and not fall stupidly back in love with his husband who's broken his heart more times than he could ever count.

Summary
Xue Yang has lived in Yi City with Xiao Xingchen and A-Qing for three years, periodically doing jobs for Jin Guangyao for money and the reassurance that he won't be 'murdered' again. However, before he takes off on this particular job, Xiao Xingchen asks if he and A-Qing may join and Xue Yang agrees.
It's a good thing he did, because the fateful day that starts off the true tragedy of Yi City passes by without fault... And because the job Jin Guangyao had for him has something that certainly wasn't in Xue Yang's job description.

As he gets his bearings together, the bone-deep exhaustion sets in and his body loudly protests, reminding him that he tried to kill himself, sacrifice himself, to bring back Wei Wuxian last night, all while taking the illegible scrawling of a madman seriously.

Or, what if instead of Huaisang dying in the Silken Veils, Mulberry Leaves, and Broken Threads series, the sacrifice summons fails. This is the story from the moment Wei Wuxian would've woken up in our original story, through to the end of Wei Wuxian's night after telling everyone that would believe them that Nie Huaisang was dead. Only, this time, Huaisang has to tell them what he attempted to do.
