Summary
Durge's old personality and his post-amnesia one clash every five minutes; he's tired of external monologues and flashbacks yet they keep happening every five minutes; the illicit ilithid gives unsolicited advice every five minutes; he’s juggling with his moral alignment, you guessed it, every five minutes. So, he decides “Fuck it! I'll become a god myself, it runs in the family anyway! That'll solve all my problems AND I'll take my old situationship with me for the ride!”
TL;DR version: An OP resist!Durge steadily reverts back to a NE villain but some soft spots (Karlach shaped ones) remain. He's a shit friend, though.

Summary
He has people searching for the man at this very moment, but if there’s one thing Lord Gortash can attribute as a virtue in Orin the Red, it is her affinity for obliteration. She isn't one to leave loose ends untied, either. Thus, Lord Gortash figures he should get the grief out of his system as soon as possible, because he’s a master plan to execute.
So, he reminisces with abandon, wading in syrupy sentimentality before he grabs hold of his balls and welds the plating right back around his heart. -

Summary
“Trevathan?”
“Yes, Caesar?”
“What is “tooth” in latin?”
“Dens, Caesar.”
Proximus frowns. “Dense? Same as "stupid"?”
Trevathan knew if he chuckled now, the Caesar would misinterpret it, even if it was in genuine delight and not ridicule.
“No, Caesar, it's uh... different spelling.”
“Hmpf.”
Proximus strokes his injured finger as you sit at his feet, Sylva in the process of removing your muzzle to give you a drink of water. Then the Caesar smirks, one fang showing.
“Dens is a fine name for her, yes?”Trevathan is servile. You speak your mind. Fire and water. A balance within the court. He pretends to dislike your moodiness, but you both know you're kindred spirits. You feel roughly the same way about your situation and your new overlord. You're a survivor. That's what you've been taught by your estranged colony, and you'll do anything to make sure you live and die on your own terms - and if you have to be a toy to a messiah-complex-having narcissist in order to survive, then you'll do just that.
You'll see just how far you can manipulate him into doing what you want without him noticing. -

"So sorry, Papa. You'll take away my Nintendo now?"
To his surprise, the corners of Wainfleet's mouth curved upwards in a smug little smirk. He blew a small bubble, but it ruptured prematurely. His tongue snaked out to scoop the thin veil of gum back into his mouth. Pink on pink. Glistening.
Quaritch had no idea why exactly this small series of motions caught his attention, but they did.
He had no idea that him hyper focusing on Lyle's mouth for a fraction of a second would - further down the line - lead to them laying askew in the soft green grass high up in the Hallelujah Mountains, watching a herd of wild direhorses graze, his head resting in the crook of Lyle's chest and armpit as Lyle would rake his fingers through his hair absentmindedly and Quaritch would wonder just what in the Brokeback Mountain was going on here.
No idea whatsoever.

Summary
“At least the Avatar took his bending.”
“He should have taken his life instead.”
The long-familiar taste of hatred climbs up his throat. They cannot know how Ozai has wished the same on not a few nights in the solitary dark.
Zuko once said he should count himself lucky that the Avatar spared him. As if it wasn’t the cruelest, most painful punishment that he could have inflicted. To be rent apart soul from body, left with the excruciating memory of that severed aspect like a phantom limb, to be made a ruin of the man he once was, and then to be locked away to wallow in his losses for the rest of his life.
No, Ozai would have rather died. It would have been the more merciful route.

Summary
“This doesn’t change anything between us.”
Vander snorted and set two highball glasses down in front of Silco. “Wasn’t expecting it to. I said you knew where to find me, and you did.” He pulled a bottle of liquor – amber colored, the glass ornately carved, an expensive article of Piltover contraband he kept squirreled away under the counter for special occasions. “You still drink your whiskey neat?”
Silco eyed the bottle. He took another drag off his cigar. Vander watched the end of it glow and crackle. Watched the curl of his thin lips around it.
“What makes you think I’m drinking with you?”

A love story, of sorts.
