Summary
Castorice's hand is warm on his chest, which is all he can feel for a moment, before he starts losing strength in his legs. He falls straight into the glass shards, but no piercing pain comes, and as he stares up at her standing above him, he thinks Oh, so they meant ‘her touch brings death’ literally.
There is despair in her eyes.
And then he dies. It is a pretty good one, as far as deaths go.
Cas and Mydei, a queer friendship that kindles in the wake of many arguments about death.

Summary
Dick sits up straight, ears attuning to the sound foreign to his apartment. Breath. The soft, slow breath of someone sleeping. He stands. Reaches for his escrima sticks. Steps out of the doorway, further into the tiny apartment. He freezes. Because he knows that body, sprawled over his couch with a blanket half covering his legs. Knows that dark head of hair with the shock of white in the center. Knows that Jason has a key, because he gave him one last year. Jason has never used the key before.

Summary
“Have you considered appealing the verdict?”
Mydei scoffed at the naivety and pushed off the wall. “I’ll handle it.”
This time, Phainon very deliberately ignored the cue of his dismissal and followed. “How?”
“None of your concern.”
Eight months into the Kremnoan detachment’s assimilation into the city and the case of Okhemans thieving weapons from the Kremnoan detachment’s armoury seems unsolvable. The city’s laws, regulations and the sentiments of its citizens make it so.
It falls to Mydei to prevent the relationship between the two from spiralling into riots through the streets. But every avenue is a dead end. A situation that becomes more impossible the more he tries to resolve it.
The solution comes in an unexpected form, and from an unexpected source.
