"It is three hundred years before Arwen tells Elrond, offhand in a conversation about something else, that on one rainy night two months after Celebrìan sailed, Maglor saved her life without knowing it. She says it in passing, like it's something obvious, something she expects him to already know."

Summary
"If there is a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it." Toni Morrison
I suppose this is the story I have wanted to read, and the story I have needed to tell, for longer than I care to admit. I have tried to make it real, or at least as real as Tolkien's world. I'm not much interested in magic, or faceless evil, or quests; with a few exceptions, this story doesn't have those things. What it does have are the people, and the land. And so...
"Let us probe the silent place, let us see what luck betide us;
Let us journey to a lonely land I know.
There's a whisper on the night-wind, there's a star agleam to guide us,
And the Wild is calling, calling...let us go."
