There was a moment of awkward silence as Percy stood there.
He didn't know whether to leave or to just let things play out, but it was safe to say that he was freaked out of his mind. He had begun connecting the dots, but he wasn't sure whether his hypothesis was correct. They had mentioned an island, a girl being stuck there, and rain... which all added up to-"Calypso," Percy mumbled, barely loud enough for Jason and Leo to hear. The fire wielder flinched at the mention of the name and Percy felt a pit of dread settle in his stomach.
So he was right.
It was Calypso.
What had she done?

"Did s-she... do that?" Jason asked, brushing his fingers over the bruises. Leo leaned into Jason and nodded silently. The son of Jupiter felt more tears pricking at his eyes and for the first time ever he didn't think of them as a sign of weakness. He saw them as comfort because what Leo needed was someone to cry with.
Jason cuddled the boy closer and they stayed like that for what seemed like hours, even if it was only minutes.

Piper chewed her bottom lip while she studied him. Eventually, she spoke. “Leo… doesn’t like sleeping.”
“I’ve gathered that much,” Jason confessed. “Is there any reason for that? Any way I can help?”
“I dunno.” Piper’s gaze drifted over to where Leo was still sitting, enjoying the breeze Jason had called for him. “He doesn’t like being exposed. There’s not really anything you can do, other than wait for him to feel okay around you.” She hiked a challenging eyebrow at him. “You willing to do that? You ready to wait?”
For Leo? Anything. Jason shrugged. “Yeah, of course.”

Leo's not sleeping, and Jason is concerned. Unfortunately, there's only one thing Jason can do to help, and that's to simply love him.

the island of ogygia was beautiful, as was the outward appearance of its warden, the titanness calypso. was she really that pretty, though, as she appeared to be?
as in: leo, after washing up on ogygia, is tormented by calypso in ways no one wishes to speak of. days, weeks, maybe years have passed in this eternal cycle of abuse and comfort and wishing he would die to escape. there's not much else to say, is there?

DEAD DOVE: DO NOT EAT. heavy mentions of rape/sa and abuse. this fic is disgusting but also shows that men can be raped, too. take care of yourself. RETURNING READERS read chapter one notes. <3

They hadn’t told him, but Donnie had eyes. He could observe it. He wasn’t asking for thanks or open appreciation— he knew people only did that when they wanted something more from him or wanted to hurt him. Knowing they were content without him because of his actions was all that mattered.
(He missed praise. He missed turtle piles, and pizza weeks, and movie nights where they watched his favorites and actually engaged with them. He missed karaoke and DDR and biweekly Powerpoint nights where he deliberately picked the most moronic topic to rant about like a madman, just to revel in the sound of Leo shrieking with laughter.
And God, he missed S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N, so so much. Something had broken in him when he’d found his AI chip in the rubble, unsalvageable. Something about the grief of it all had made everything feel worthless. Even if he yearned for it—that didn’t really matter anymore, did it? It was gone.)
(or: in the middle of building their new lair, donnie is cursed. not wanting to slow himself down, he resolves to keep it from his family.
