Nico di Angelo was tired of running. He thought it would have got easier with the longer he ran but no, it only appeared to be getting harder. He was now nineteen and the older he got the more he started to understand why others wanted to “settle down” and “lead a quiet life”, or as quiet as a demigod life can be anyway.
After four years of not seeing anyone in person, Nico decided to visit to Hazel who just so happens to be spending the summer at Camp Half-Blood. There he bumps into the person who started his running but maybe this time he'll find a reason to stay.

Nico is thrilled when he finds out that something under the earth moves when he concentrates reeaal hard. It means that he gets to join his best friend Hazel when she leaves for Olympic High School for Young Superheroes in the Fall. It's the school he'd always dreamt of attending, it's where his older sister Bianca goes and coincidentally, also the school where his all time favorite superhero (and supercrush) Riptide goes.
Now maybe it's the badassery and the news talking about him as if he is some god, or maybe it's the one time Nico caught Riptide in an alley right before he put on his mask, when Nico instantly fell in love with sea green eyes...

Nico is a loner, he basically only really has two friends at his school. Ethan and Alabaster. Sadly enough, Ethan is also friends with their school's quarterback Luke, so when his friends are invited to a Halloween-party, Nico is forced to tag along, dressed as a Death Angel and with a Venetian mask to cover his identity. It would ruin his reputation to be seen at a jock's Halloween-party after all.
Percy is a jock and he's friends with Luke, so he's there too. But he's also there because Leo insisted on him finally moving on and getting over Annabeth. The problem? Annabeth is also at the party. With her girlfriend Reyna. So Percy drinks. Maybe a bit too much. But there's that Death Angel and he's kind enough to bring Percy home again. The problem? “My name is Jodie Perry. I'm calling from New York-Presbyterian emergency room,” the woman interrupted him. “I need to speak with Dionysus Mantzoukas–”

Percy was fine, okay? He was in his fourth and final year of nursing school and he'd somehow managed to maintain his sanity even after his girlfriend broke up with him an year ago. And then Professor Sunday waltzed into the classroom with his perfect face and perfect smile and everything came crumbling down.
Apollo just wanted a break, how was he supposed to know Percy Jackson was studying nursing of all things at New Rome University? He does not want to see the demigod again, not after Percy ghosted him the morning after they slept together.
Or, idiots to lovers. Percy copes with projecting his entire life's issues into his relationships. Apollo just wanted a one night stand and did not expect the intensity with which Percy Jackson loves. Poseidon is trying but Percy has daddy issues so Neptune decides to swoop in- except he has absolutely no idea about land customs. Amphitrite/Salacia are the best and Triton is mourning the fate of yet another sibling falling for a sun god.
