Summary
Sixteen year old Emery Dixon had learned her lesson enough times to understand how important the rules were. The rules that kept people at arm’s length. If they couldn’t get close, they couldn’t hurt her like so many had before.
The Iron Angel was the better version of herself. The strong one, the brave one, the unbreakable one. The Iron Angel saved people from the things no one protected Emery from. The things that ended with Emery traumatized and alone on the streets.
But with a new enemy and the Avengers taking notice of her, the careful order Emery had built for herself began to crumble. Between trying to get through the shitshow called her life as Emery and being stretched to her limits as the Iron Angel, she’s ripping at the seams. And she doesn’t think she can put herself together again. At least, not by herself. But maybe she doesn’t have to be as alone as she thought. Soon she’ll be forced to ask the question: is she willing to risk her survival for the opportunity at really living?
