Hades huffed. "Why?"
"I just... have my suspicions is all..."
"Of what? What has he done to draw your scrutiny?"
"I'm simply curious what matter of man can stand next to someone like you so casually."
Hades looked at G'raha like he'd grown a second head. Narish pulled his lips taut but stayed quiet.
"I can answer that one for you," Hades replied indignantly. "He's a hopeless bleeding heart like the rest of you. Ready to look past all my flaws because he's in love with me. Case closed."

Summary
G'raha Tia awakes safely the following morning, and aims to keep it that way. He's quite ready to dedicate a sizeable amount of time keeping watch on their unexpected guests. But he keeps finding... he may simply be blowing things out of proportion. Things are not adding up to his low expectations, but he's determined to keep himself and Narish safe at all costs.
Meanwhile, Hythlodaeus struggles to put the pieces of his life back together. What is Hades hiding from him? What will it take to earn G'raha's trust? This charming little island getaway is becoming an absolute nightmare.

Summary
The Warrior of Light, Narish Monlaukken, and his partner, G'raha Tia, arrive at the Island sanctuary for a little rest after tireless research into Rift travel.
Much to their chagrin, they find the island has a couple of unexpected (and unwanted) visitors. Narish is forced to reconcile all the the events leading up to this point in his life, while G'raha is forced to grapple with the fact that, aside from a few barbed words, his once fearsome enemy seems quite unlikely to attack. But can he be so sure? And what of the mysterious partner of his, who Narish assures is harmless, but seems very happy to be next to Emet-Selch, of all people? Will the two Miqo'te be able to have a vacation, or did they just walk into the seventh hell?

Summary

The two of them are now forced to grapple with the reality of Emet-Selch's sins, as well as the gnawing loss they have both felt for each other over eons. Summary
The truth is that nature has been overly kind to Hades.
Not only has he been blessed with a classically handsome face and body, but he can also see aether nearly as well as Hythlodaeus himself, manipulate it better than most of their professors, and remembers most things after hearing it once.
After years of watching Hades succeed on the laurels of his innate talents—graduating with the highest honors even—it is almost a relief to find something at which he’s not naturally gifted.
Although Hythlodaeus does wish it hadn’t been this.
