‘On my desk,’ Regis remembers, as he’s done patting down Noctis and the boy looks sick of his prodding now. It clicks, but he’s almost determined not to believe it. He gently places his hands on Noctis' shoulders, trying his best to not appear too grave as he looks into innocent eyes. ‘Where his friend’s rent is supposed to be.’
Well, shit.
What Regis believes to be Noctis speaking for his imaginary friend, turns out to not be so imaginary after all.

Summary
At first, Noctis thinks that the man is dead. The jokes stop, from all of them. Prompto’s laughter cuts off, Ignis’s face becomes a blank slate, Gladio’s posture tightens.
And Noctis just stares.
Stares at the still-breathing man, swinging from his chains, his once-vibrant eyes dull and listless, flickering with inhuman light in the dark. Hooks are pierced through his hands, his flesh. His hair has grown altogether long and ragged. His nails are more like claws.
It’s Noctis that breaks the silence.

Noctis and his friends find a vampire while urban exploring.
Somehow, said vampire becomes Noctis' roommate, and the two learn things about each other in the kindling of an odd friendship.Gift fic written based off of gras-art's Vampire Ardyn comics. Halloween fic, too. Thrown together semi-loosely, but I like it anyway.

Summary
Imagine an AU in which Ardyn goes "Screw the prophecy!" and then tries to manipulate the Chosen King into fighting Bahamut. The twist? It takes very little manipulation. Mostly just the truth laid bare for him to see.
Deceitful, scheming Ardyn joins the Chocobros, first on their way to Altissia, then guides them through the rest of their journey, but with a very different outcome in mind. They bicker, they tease, they annoy each other to no end, and yet, at some point, understanding grows.
Meanwhile, Bahamut is onto "those who defy fate", blessing Ravus with the Ring and the Oracle with a frightful new (or, rather, ancient) power to step in as the original key figures of the prophecy fall out of their place.
