Summary
Swallowing hard and pretending he isn’t more nervous about this than anything he’s ever done, Lucifer follows her, his eyes scanning the dining room for a familiar face. He also pretends his steps don’t falter when he sees her sitting alone at a table, her head bent low over her phone as if she’s studying it intently. She lifts her head enough to take a sip of wine and his heart skips a beat.
Rather than chickening out, Lucifer shows up to have dinner with the Detective. And things get a bit more complicated than he was planning.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, her heartbreak transforms into anger. She’s pissed off. At Michael for pulling her fears out, prompting her to push Lucifer to say the words in the evidence room. At herself for freezing up tonight instead of knocking some sense into Lucifer—literally, if need be. And at Lucifer for running, for not being able to see what’s right in front of his face.
Chloe decides Lucifer is wrong about being incapable of love and goes to confront him. When she arrives at the penthouse, she catches him in the middle of singing Wicked Games.
