Summary
From that day on, it becomes normal for people to expect him to find Kalim on command and if it's fun at first, it soon becomes grating. Having a soulmate is normal but finding them is a little more complicated and maybe because they’re an exception having found each other before they were even born, the people around them treat them as a curiosity. As a set. It’s somewhat… frustrating. As if nobody sees him as more than Kalim’s servant and soulmate. But he doesn’t talk about it – he’s the older one here and only babies like Kalim make a fuss about such inconsequential things.
Or: having a soulmate is the worst thing to happen to Jamil.
