Mal dies because he doesn't have plot armor in Fjerda. And then he dies again. And again. And again until this author manages to get Bingo on the "Mal's Fate" card from Darklina Discord Server September Bingo Challenge.
I tried to throw in some plot for it all to make sense, so here we have the seemingly omniscient Morozova's stag pulling Mal into some kind of groundhog day in order to get a HEA for everyone.
Rated M mostly for language. Mal dies, naturally, but nothing too graphic.
