    Izuku Midoriya has always been drawn to the sea. On the day of his 18th birthday, he finds a man passed out on the beach and covered in wounds. He brings him home to save him, and it is then revealed that Izuku is a half-mer who was born on the surface but he doesn't have the magic to change forms.

    When the man he saved offers to give Izuku magic, he agrees and his life is forever changed. He has to deal with the hardship of losing someone and also get acquainted with life in the sea. On top of everything else, the last thing Izuku expected to find was love as well, and with another merman!

    "If, um," Izuku stuttered, his face burning red and unable to look fully into Shouto's eyes as he traced the pencil marks on his paper, smudging the graphite lightly. "If oxygen is a diatomic element, then that means it needs at least two, right? It can't be alone."

    He gulped, and whispered shakily, "I'm an oxygen atom. I need one more." He took in a shuddering breath, gathered his courage, and blurted, "can you be my other oxygen?"
