Parody of j-hope's song 'Killin' It, Girl', with some cat puns, and the implication (kinda) that the cat being addressed is Suga. Inspired entirely by the very chill black cat that roams in and out of the video of 'Killin' It, Girl'. That's it, that's the work, folks.
Series name echoes 'like an echo in the forest' from 'Life Goes On', of course. The op-paw-rtunity was too good to pass by.

Lan Xichen lit his favourite sandalwood incense and sat down to meditate. He had just begun to feel at ease and relaxed when he heard the faint miaow.
He was surprised. There were no animals inside Cloud Recesses, save for Lan Wangji’s rabbits. Unless Wei Wuxian had snuck in a cat…? Or Jiang Wanyin had brought a pet that he had not informed anyone about?
It was entirely plausible. Lan Xichen got up to investigate.

They were not strange at all. Wei Wuxian could and would totally vouch for them. Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji were the most handsome, most talented, most kind, most helpful, most generous men in the whole world – in short, nothing short of utterly wonderful. Of course they were. Why else would they bear Wei Wuxian’s constant gremlin presence in their lives, if not for their saintly patience?
Their uncle was a whole ’nother story. Wei Wuxian did not want to come face to face with Lan Qiren. He had a history with the Lans, and while the siblings seemed to have forgiven him, their uncle most assuredly had not.

“Fuck,” Wei Ying declared, and sat down on the sheet music-patterned rug. Wishing he had a pillow to scream into, Wei Ying let himself panic for a count of ten, and asked, “How are you a rabbit?”
Lan Zhan was a very cute rabbit, perfectly lap sized, pure white with short, fluffy fur and upright ears that twitched at the sound of his voice.
But – and Wei Ying could not emphasize this enough – his best friend was a rabbit.
Wei Ying runs a magical coffee shop where he helps the living work out their problems and makes coffee for ghosts. So when his best friend is turned into a bunny with a curse that can only be broken by True Love's Kiss, he tries to help Lan Zhan find The One. This would be so much easier if Wei Ying wasn't in love with him.
