Katsuki and Izuku become trapped under the rubble of a building. Izuku takes on grave injuries that have him teetering on death's edge, sparking a blaze in Katsuki that he never knew he had. Katsuki spirals down a heartwarming and heartbreaking path as he realizes the one he loved is now a ghost of what he once was as he has little to no recollection of UA or Katsuki.
In the midst of all this, a new villain has emerged, one who might pose an even greater threat to Japan. As Katsuki struggles to come to terms with Izuku's condition, he finds himself not just facing this new enemy head-on, but comes face to face with darkness he doesn't know how to handle.

“Izuku, can I sit with you?” he asks, his tone gentle, ignoring the imploreable comments thrown his way. Katsuki smiles sweetly at him, his face brightening and eyes sparkling.
Izuku chokes on air, his heart going crazy at his Kacchan smiling, and more so smiling for him. Izuku blinks once, then twice, and then blinks repeatedly. Everyone else seems to catch the drift, chatter stops then, and now all of Class 2A have their eyes widened. Todoroki looks equally as shocked, but more so with a sudden realization.
