Charles died on a Sunday morning, in an old attic, with only the ghost of a dead boy for company.
This is a retelling (or more of a translation of the comic into written form) of the Sandman issue #25, the first comic that the Dead Boy Detectives appear in. I hope this is helpful for anyone who, like me, isn't able to read comics very well and would better enjoy the story written out.

Summary
Set after book 5 and sort of during season 6. An AU assuming Jon Snow is actually the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and end up joining with Daenerys when she comes to Westeros. Robb and Catelyn Stark, along with most of their men survived the Red Wedding but end up as Targaryen prisoners and they're very shocked to see Jon Snow of all people sitting on the Iron Throne when they arrive in King's Landing.

Summary
Wayne lets the front door swing shut behind him, rattling and smacking into the frame audibly.
“Jesus, Munson!” A voice rings out — the freezer fiend’s, and definitely not Eddie’s. “Took you god damn long enough!” The head finally pops out of the freezer. “I got tired of waiting and — oh.”
The stranger’s hand slips from the handle and the freezer door thumps shut. As does the stranger’s mouth when he looks right into the face of, not Eddie Munson as expected, but Wayne Munson.
Wayne briefly recognizes him as the Harrington boy.
or, the first time Wayne Munson meets Steve Harrington is a complete accident.

Still, Wayne found himself making his way to the hospital after the quake, both hoping to see his nephew come for help and hoping that he wouldn’t have to. He wound up volunteering at the front desk out of helplessness; he sat behind the triage nurse, wrote down the names of the patients that she barked at him and where she had directed them. It was not unlike his job at the motel as a night auditor, except that he was handing out little paper wristlets instead of keys.

It was really just his luck that a hulking monster lumbered out of the woods and directly onto his driveway. Just his luck that he threw enough parties when his parents were gone that the neighbors had long tuned out any noise that came from his yard. Just a nice cherry on top of the fucking cake that, even if anyone did hear him screaming when claws tangled in his jacket and pulled, Steve honestly wasn’t sure they’d have cared enough to bother anyway.

That dream seemed so close he could almost taste it, sending shivers of excitement down his back. In spite of himself, Bren glowed with pride.
