Summary
Lenore always believed that her quiet little town, lost among dense forests and forever covered in a thick fog, was the last place where something really sinister could happen. As an investigative reporter for a local newspaper on the verge of bankruptcy, her routine consisted of covering bakery openings and pumpkin pie contests.
But everything changed when a series of macabre murders shook the town - each victim found in public places, arranged in ritualistic positions, with strange marks carved into their skin and, always, a dead crow carefully left beside them. The police, perplexed, found no clues. The population, previously asleep in the safety of routine, was plunged into panic. And Lenore saw here the chance for her big story... until she realized, too late, that she was more involved than she could ever have imagined.
