“Relax, Officer Nox. I’m your guy to fix them… well, your girl. You know what I mean. I just need a few parts and tools...” Her smile widened, though she hesitated for a moment. The truth was, she didn’t want to go back to her workshop… although she did want to help this sexy cop, wait, sexy?
“Are you serious?” The officer’s hand moved quickly to grab Powder’s. “You have no idea how much I’d appreciate that. The assembly workshop isn’t far. We can drop these off and then go there, you’ll find everything you need.”
Powder hesitated a moment, looking at their interlaced hands, but eventually jumped to her feet, extending her arms to her sides and flashing a wide, toothy grin. “Great then! What are we waiting for? Lead the way, Officer Nox!”
The officer let out a small laugh at her strange enthusiasm and lifted the box with the devices. “By the way, I don’t know where the ‘Nox’ came from, but my name is Caitlyn.”
“Of course it is, Caitlyn Kiramman.” She raised a hand to her forehead in a mock salute while laughing. “I’m Powder, at your service.” She bowed dramatically, raising her hands as if lifting the hem of a dress.Bookmarked by VtrCst
