Summary
I took one look at the end of MoF3 and went "hm, no, Auguste deserves better" and decided to let him live and join the group. He and Gilderoy absolutely got together before and flirted with each other (as both Auguste and Schwartz) and then get together properly.
Also I don't care for how they described his mental illness in the game and we have nothing confirmed, so: he is a very depressed man and he was possessed by an entity that was born from his desires and the ring's corruption. Also: he's in his mid to late 40s (we have no canon age).
I will hear no objections, but I am very open to ideas.
