Summary
The explosion at the Conclave damages the Veil irrevocably, and breaks open Elgar'nan's prison. Solas is still weak from his slumber, but if he does not find a solution quickly, great evil will be released upon the world. Working in secret within the Inquisition, he searches for a way to seal away the Blight and defeat Elgar'nan before time runs out.
Of course he cannot afford to be distracted by the elven woman who has become known as the Herald of Andraste - this would be the worst possible time for him to fall in love.
This is an Inquisition-era AU where the explosion at the Conclave goes even worse and Solas is forced to do a lot more plotting and scheming. Featuring secrets revealed earlier than in canon; some adventures in ancient Arlathan; plus an excursion to the Black City.

I broke down El'vhen into component parts and replaced the elided apostrophes. This is still fan fic, because despite having a linguistics minor, I could be very wrong. But if I'm not too far off, it should give us the tools to make new words.

MODERN AU. Based in no small part on the 1984 film Romancing The Stone with some inspiration from the 2023 film The Lost City.
Ellana Lavellan is a successful novelist on the cusp of celebrating the publication of another book when she answers a phone call that flips her world on its head. Her adoptive sister speaks on the other end and informs her that she’s been kidnapped while traveling abroad with her husband. The ransom comes with a strange demand: a package her brother-in-law had supposedly sent to her. When a mysterious letter in her dead brother-in-law’s handwriting turns up shortly after, Ellana drops everything to travel across the continent in the hopes of saving her sister. But things are not at all what they seem, and Ellana soon learns that her brother-in-law was wrapped up in something far more sinister. With help from a mysterious, handsome stranger she can’t afford to turn away, it’s a race against time to uncover an ancient treasure hidden deep in the wild lands of Thedas and save her sister from the clutches of villainy.
