Shrugging on his jumpsuit, he followed them to the edge of the encampment, just in time to see the last of the grey walls disappear in a great cloud of dust.
They rallied at once and made their way furtively down to the ruins, torches in hand. As they approached the Torchbearer could have sworn he saw a lone red-hooded figure standing just inside the semi-circle of buckled concrete, but when he blinked and looked again he saw nothing but the vultures circling in the grey sky.

After the battle concludes, the Torchbearer leaves the city with the remaining Banditos.

Makarov escapes from prison, and Task Force 141 gets on his trail. Ghost tries to deal with his feelings for Soap, Price tries to deal with the ripples from that day four years ago, and Gaz is just trying to keep them all in one piece.
Maybe they'll make it out alive.
(Or a fix-it of MW23 in which the author aims to salvage and repurpose the campaign into something presentable, as well as push the TF141 found family and Ghostsoap agendas because I can)

Reopening the Mean Bean under the same name was a risk, he knew, but it was one of the only things he had left that wasn’t off-limits for fear of being discovered. Even if Green Hills was the home of the Blue Blur, he doubted G.U.N. was on the lookout for any trace of the Doctor after… all of that.
So he opened the doors of his cafe once more, and pretended that every cup of coffee he brewed didn’t remind him of what he’d lost.

If my roommate wanted to move out so badly, why wouldn’t he just tell me?
I got kind of upset finding out, only because I thought the two of us discussed everything together. If he had a problem with me, he could at least try to talk to me about it before deciding to move out entirely, right? Even if it’s just so he can move out and buy a house for his girlfriend or whatever, I guess—couldn’t he at least talk to me about it instead of going behind my back?
The next morning, I was still upset, and it was a rare weekend that my roommate didn’t go out. So I asked him about it, sort of, and kind of insinuated that if he wanted to leave so badly, he might as well do it sooner than later. I didn’t mean for it to be rude, but in retrospect, it might have been unfair, especially the part where I told him I’d help with packing up. But I think I have the right to be a little upset, at least, right? AITA?
