Terror stood on the blank field of pack ice and examined a block of tea. It seemed such a strange thing to him. How could it be that a tea cake, something that belonged on the shelves of warm and friendly English kitchens in London and Liverpool, came to be in such an unearthly, inhospitable place as this?
