Summary
Sam just couldn't get the memories out of his head, not anymore. Flashes of his time in hell and what Lucifer did to him are just bubbling below the surface itching to get out, until one memory brings his world crashing down around him. There's only one person Sam can bear to be around, Dean. That is, until he actually tells Dean what's going on.
Sam decides the best thing to do is take some time away from it all, away from hunting, away from Dean, away from everything in the hope that it'll clear his head, but by the time he's realized his mistake, he's already too far gone to come back from it.

“Wohoo! Go Derek!”, he laughed.
Derek was on top of the mountain and waving down at him. He winked and shouted “Canon baaall!” before sprinting to the edge and jumping down. When he breached he saw Stiles dancing around like a cheerleader.
“Don't fall off!”, Derek jokingly said, because he remembered the sharp rocks in the water.
“I won-”, said Stiles, but before he could finish the sentence, he slipped and fell into the water with a huge splash.

“I am gonna let you go now, but trust me, I will come back, okay?”, he looked at Derek with tears in his eyes, “I WILL come back!”
“I know you will.”, Derek just said and realized, that tears were forming in his eyes as well.
“Okay, okay...”, Stiles grip started to loose and Derek felt himself being lowered deeper into the water. He took a deep breath and braced himself. Just before his eyes were completely covered by water he heard Stiles' voice.

He’s lost ten years. The last thing he remembers is him and Scott trying out for the lacrosse team in their freshman year of Beacon Hills High so it comes as a shock when his dad tells him that he’s already graduated from Berkeley. Two years ago.
He doesn’t know anyone’s names except his dad and Scott (obviously) so he gives them all nicknames as Scott fills him in. There’s Princess Dimples, Pretty Curls, Fierce Blonde, Tall, Dark, and Stoic, Fratboy (who manages to look equal parts concerned and annoyed), and Ariel.
Oh, and a guy who looks much older than all of them with a weirdly perfect symmetrical face, a pair of dark, thick caterpillar eyebrows, a set of beautiful unicorn eyes, and the kind of stubble that makes Stiles wants to rub his face all over – with his face. So he names him Stubbly McPretty Eyes for obvious reasons.
