Summary
Tears were pouring out from his brother’s face. Never one to find shame in the strong outburst of emotion that cracked through his usually tame demeanor, Choso’s burst soaked through Yuji’s hair and would not let up even as he choked between his breaths.
“You’re alive. There were so many moments that I didn’t know if I would see you again. My little brother…” Choso’s grip strengthens after that. He’s careful not to dig in his nails, but the way his whole body seeks to envelop Yuji in a protective shield was constrictive enough to keep the young teenager in place all on his own.
“I’m so happy you’re alive.”
❤ Even at their lowest, Choso will always be there to comfort his younger brother.

Geto’s suggestion had come no less than a day after Choso and his brothers were awakened. From underneath his two-tone beach umbrella, the man flipped through his phone, uninterested in making contact with the lone death painting standing over him.
“The memories of your vessels fall short when compared to first-hand experience. I believe your bodies would benefit from being broken into within a controlled setting than in the midst of a fight.”
“Would we not accomplish the same results here, if not better, considering no outsider is aware of this location, let alone able to enter?” The beach they resided in was the work of the cursed womb’s domain. A solitary pocket divorced from the reality outside it.
“You could. I’ll admit your argument is sound, but consider this a chance to experience a new range of emotion your previous existence did not permit. You wouldn’t want to deny your brothers the opportunity, would you?

Summary
Choso’s mother granted him life twice over. The first was with his unknowing conception at the hands of a nameless curse and a man whose blood defiled an already damned union. The second was by her own forceful hands, one grasping the neck of an intruder on the brink of unconscious, while the other held tight the womb which harbored Choso’s soul. One violating shove into the man’s mouth, her palm slamming against his lips to ensure the vile plunged down his throat. That was all it took to awaken the spirit who had been sealed away, a life denied no longer. Already branded a monster by virtue of her body, Choso’s mother knew it did not matter that she traded one stranger’s life for that of her eldest son, for if she didn’t, neither would be holding themselves up on their hands and knees, gasping for air.
These were the first of Choso’s breaths.
Consequently, these were about to be the last of hers.
♦ Choso gains an autonomous form much earlier in the timeline. While much is expected to change, his love for his family never will.

Summary
Megumi wonders if Yuji would make the same desperate plea. If he begged Sukuna, for peace, for silence in his own mind, for him to help in this losing battle they always seem to find themselves in. He wonders what Yuji had offered in return. Certainly not this. Megumi couldn’t imagine him handing over the reins of control so easily. Yuji is resistance and will as a river is running and wild; he doesn’t think he could exist any other way. Yuji would not release Sukuna into the world. He would not leave sorcerers and civilians alike at Sukuna’s mercy, but Megumi is not Yuji. Megumi is weak, and he is in love, and he will do anything to see Yuji safe, consequences be damned.
Let Yuji go, Megumi begs. Let me see him whole and breathing, and I’ll give you control. I won’t try to stop you again.
Sukuna takes over his body, and then Megumi makes a deal with the devil.
