“I’m glad you’re here. Even if talking to you still feels surreal, like I’m dreaming, I didn’t expect—My brain is still processing. When the adrenaline finally died down, and I crashed earlier, I… I’m just so relieved. ” Able to both say it and truly feel it, Yuji relaxed both his arms behind his pillow as a means to reiterate it. Something else was to follow. Although his classmate would quickly cut his initial thought off, Yuji would eventually work himself up to say something more over nothing. “I guess, with you here, I don’t have to miss you anymore.”
❤ Megumi followed Yuji a thousand years into the Heian Era, content to remain by his side as a companion and protector, nothing more... That is, until his yearning heart couldn't take it any longer.
