Diary entries within the book of an ex-con turned detective soak up ink as she describes her life events after being betrayed by her former posse and dealing with the fallout of said betrayal. It it among these pages being filled that she stumbles across an assassin sent to kill her once and for all — only to find herself entangled in a web of conspiracies, violence, infighting and complicated feelings she’s never experienced before.
Living in a world where people can be anything, she struggles to catch her own identity passing by — if she ever had something even close to that. To make everything worse, her assassin drops right into her life when she can least use the company. -

Summary
"Don't Make Me Kill You" is the first in the timeline, taking place a few years before the OG plot of the show itself, when the Disassembly Squad outside of Outpost 3 first arrived on Copper-9. It revolves around J & V (OilRose) and their botched relationship with one another.
"Synemy" is the second entry in the timeline, playing a few weeks after the show's finale in 3071, where Cyn suddenly appears in her drone-form to Uzi... which comes with its own set of complications the habitants of Outpost 3 have to work through together.
"A Bluejay's Feather" is the third entry, taking place inbetween 'Synemy' and shortly after it, too. It revolves around J returning after being tossed down in the final fight, being able to re-connect with Tessa in a new drone-form and having to work through old and new tethered relationships and trust issues.
