Dear all,
As you may well know, Halloween is just around the corner and as Chief Prosecutor I have received several requests from various individuals regarding whether or not costumes will be allowed. I do not see any issue with this, however I must ask that if you do plan to dress up in any way on October 31st, please keep it professional and both office and courthouse appropriate. I also suggest that you limit your costume to a few accessories, as you will still be expected to work as usual and distracting or impractical clothes will only be a hindrance to your performance. If you are concerned as to whether your costume of choice breaks this rule, simply do not wear it.
Anyone caught breaking dress code will be reprimanded as I see fit, which may include cuts in next month's salary.Many thanks,

He doesn’t even realize that his fingers have been running through the sweatshirt until he looks down. The gray fabric is quite soft to the touch, surprising Miles. He had expected it to be slightly worn down, given how often Phoenix is wearing it. The warmth in his chest returns at the thought of Phoenix giving this to him—something painfully intimate about it all.
No. He shakes his head, trying to shoo the thoughts away. He had simply felt guilty about everything. That’s all this is.
Still—he decides to take what he gets and puts on the hoodie. It’s quite comfortable—far more loose than his usual attire, and less restricting.
But as soon as the hoodie is on his shoulders unzipped, he notices something that he didn’t think to account for.
It smells like Phoenix.

Summary
Part of Miles was certain that Phoenix was working magic on him, because he’d started out cold, like he always was, tensed in on himself, not unwilling, but unworthy, or at least feeling that way. Miles was no blushing virgin – he was in his 20s, he’d been to law school, he’d had plenty of sexual experience – but somehow this all felt new, every touch sweeping warmth from his skin inwards until his very core was responding. He wasn’t just hard, wasn’t just physically aroused, it was like he was alight with it, as though whatever flame lived inside Phoenix had jumped to Miles, too.

It wasn't a secret at this point, anyone with eyes could tell the change in his demeanor when he first started seeing this mystery person. Maybe it was a good thing no one knew the identity of this special someone he saw every Friday, after all, Phoenix had no idea who he really was as well. He couldn't physically describe this man, nor could he give his real name to anyone that asked, but Phoenix couldn't complain. This man was filling an Edgeworth-shaped hole in his heart.
