Sitting on one of the plush couches was a woman around Alfred’s age, with spiked hair and a black leather jacket. Upon seeing her, they skidded to a halt, taking in her clothes and appearance with curious eyes.
“Who is this?” He asked, turning to Alfred with a confused expression.
“Hello leetle one!” The woman grinned cheerily. “My name is Gina! I’m an old friend of Alfie’s.”
Bruce scowled. Alfie? Ew. He did not like this woman.
“We met...oh, when was it?” She turned to Alfred with a smile.
“I believe it was during our school days.” He supplied, wearing a faintly amused expression.
“Right!’ She snapped her fingers, laughing at herself.
“Excuse me, but...why are you here?” His sister asked, twisting her pigtails nervously.

Ladybug turned back to her, a confused expression on her face. “What?”
“You move....” Black Bat gestured, hands trying to form the words she struggled to say. “Familiar.”
“What?” Ladybug repeated, shocked and confused at the statement.
Black Bat frowned slightly, looking her up and down as though searching for something. She locked eyes with her, nodding once at whatever she found there.

Jaskier startles. He’s been fiddling with it, he realises, a nervous habit. He didn’t think the witcher had noticed, even though those golden eyes seem to spot most things.
“It’s so people know what I am,” he says.
“And what are you?” the witcher says. His tone has turned surprisingly gentle. Perhaps he can hear the misery in Jaskier’s voice.
“Bound in service,” Jaskier explains. He tries on a smile. “It might not look like it, but I’m as much of a prisoner as you are.”
Jaskier didn’t exactly plan to escape from his master alongside a terrifying witcher. But it might turn out to be one of his better decisions.
