Drops of water fell down around Loki as life fell down around them. Everything they had ever known to be true, their own sense of self and identity, was a lie. One small moment had caused their life to begin to crumble down.
In another universe, this would happen in Jountenheim, and Loki would take charge of the bifrost and, in an act of impulsivity, try to destroy the cause of their pain.
But not in this universe. In this universe, Loki was younger, less experienced, but more importantly: less bitter. In this universe, the discovery of their heritage happened when Loki was alone. In this universe, Loki did nothing when they found out. In this universe, all Loki did was begin to plan. Because in this universe, Loki had someone to stay for.

Nathaniel was almost 10, and he was on the Exy court. Kevin was fun to play with even if Riko was mean. He still got to play Exy which was much better than lessons with Lola. It was great until his father killed and tortured a man right in front of the them.
That night, his mother shook him awake. They were going on a trip, just the two of them, and they didn't have to come back! He wanted to play Exy with Kevin and Riko, but he wanted to get away from Father more. He wished that one day he could be away from his father and play Exy with Kevin, maybe with Riko-but he liked Kevin more.

Summary
The Jedi have been slaughtered, Anakin has turned dark side, and Obi-Wan is being hunted by his former apprentice. When Yoda tells him he needs to fake his death, Obi-Wan agrees. It isn't as though this is new to him. Obi-Wan, Cody, and Rex are put into a deep Force sleep, and Yoda promises to wake them when the galaxy needs them again.
But it isn't Yoda who wakes them. It's a small voice, calling out to a Jedi for help. Obi-Wan wakes up to a quiet head, both Yoda and Anakin are dead. And then he learns thirty years have passed while he's been asleep. With the Jedi Order gone, with Mandalore glassed, with a Empire that has risen and fallen, Obi-Wan, Cody, and Rex must decide what their place is in this new galaxy.
But first, there is a child who needs help. The only clue Obi-Wan has is a Mandalorian in shiny beskar'gam. If they can find one, they can find the other.

Two hundred years later, he's a very different man—teaching Kindergarten and living like a regular mortal instead of building weapons and turning neighboring countries into bloody enemies, but one thing hasn't changed, that's how much he misses Castiel.
Oh well, at least he can eat his feelings—time for a grocery run!

When New York is attacked by aliens, the masked Avengers assemble. Not knowing who this new superhero team truly works for, James tries to find out while still hunting HYDRA.
