— Your Ex-Lover is Dead, StarsIn June of 2005, shortly after Taking Back Sunday gets signed with its first major label, insomniac Adam Lazzara's normally useless sleep aids work unexpectedly at the most dangerous moment possible, resulting in a traumatic car accident. This inspires a complete one-eighty in his habits: he quits drinking cold turkey and throws out his worthless medication. After an interview goes wrong, Adam finds himself on the brink of relapsing, only for John Nolan—the living, breathing reminder of his every failure and regret—to return to Adam's life in what seems to be a stroke of divine intervention. While this rekindled connection becomes Adam's only spot of clarity in his rocky journey to sobriety, nothing between them is as it was.
Will Adam make it up to him, given this second chance, or is he destined to make the same mistakes that drove John away in the first place?
