Geralt looks down at the cat, happily licking his jaws. He doesn’t want to spoil the cat. Or rather, he feels like he shouldn’t spoil him.
He slips the cat another fish. The cat gazes up at him, a wide-eyed look of devotion; he looks awed, as if he’s never been shown such kindness as two little fish all to himself. Taking a step forward he butts his head against Geralt’s knee, nuzzling at it, eyes falling closed.
Geralt finds a cat which is strangely unafraid of witchers, and adopts it; or rather, the cat adopts him.

“Geralt,” he replies. “My ma is Visenna,” he adds, but Jaskier doesn’t think he heard that.
Geralt --

“Geralt,” he says, trying to not fucking hyperventilate, “nice to meet you. So, you want to meet my horse and then we can go to the village?”
The kid -- Geralt -- nods, his eyes going dry for the first time since they met, and then slips his tiny hand inside his.

Summary
Geralt doesn’t wear his courting jewelry—the medallion is apparently a witcher thing, not an omega one—and Jaskier supposes that makes sense. Geralt leads a very active life, and probably saves the jewelry for situations it won’t run the constant risk of getting ruined in. Certainly a nice set of earrings would be a lot more fragile than the plain studs he wears instead. A lot of omegas don’t wear their courting jewelry day to day, anyway, or at least not most of it. Geralt’s hardly unusual in that.
It’s a bit of a shame, though, because Jaskier’d like to see him in it.
