Summary
Essek stepped into the lecture hall with 15 minutes to spare, and glanced around the room. There was already a decent amount of people filling the room, and most of his preferred seats had already been taken by the other early risers. One remained, next to a young man in a worn brown sweater and white button down. Essek sighed. He didn't prefer to sit next to strangers, but it seemed as if it could not be avoided if he wanted to get a good seat. He climbed the steps and slipped into the row, making his way to the seat. He saw the man tense, and frowned, before slipping into the seat and setting his bag on the floor next to him.
He turned to look at his observer and nearly dropped the pen still in his hand. The bluest eyes he had ever seen stared back at him, framed with long lashes and surrounded by a constellation of freckles. The man was gorgeous. -

Scar was dancing the first time he felt it. He was 16 at the time, and musical theatre was his passion. Rehearsals in the old dance studio with the foam flooring that smelled like sweat no matter how often it was cleaned, the early mornings and late nights, the pizza’s and soda’s shared with fellow actors sitting on the floors of theatres and studios. The music swirled around the bodies as they moved in sync. A side step, lift your co-star off her chair and twirl her around, set her down, and leap. As his feet hit the floor, knees bent to keep the landing as quiet as possible, he felt it. A wobble in his right knee. It wasn’t anything major, anything noticeable to anyone outside himself. But he felt it.
