He nods with a sigh, quiet and resigned. “...count the stars. Because…”

Yuuji looks up from his hands into the older boy’s patient stare. The glow of the gibbous moon hovering outside the window reflects in his eyes; and in this light, they’re so, so blue.
“Itadori-kun,” he says, in that mellow voice of his, and Yuuji feels his inhibitions fading away one by one — drowning under something else.
(Somehow, the lines that Yuuji had drawn for himself are blurring in the night.)
