Summary
Dean’s your typical half-orphaned, monster-killing 22-year-old until a trenchcoated stranger crashes into his back windshield one September night, claiming he’s an angel that knows him from the future and that he’s on the run.
Frigging fantastic.
(Or, in which Castiel gets stuck in Dean’s timeline preseries and Dean kind of hates it—until he doesn’t.)

"You are a good man, Dean," Cas whispers, his mouth pressed to Dean's heartbeat. "You are so beautiful and good and worthy."
Dean can't take it.
"Cas," he says, and it comes out a plea, a prayer, begging. It's just his name, but it's full of the need for affirmation, for validation, for all the things Dean's not allowed to ask for. All the things he never received when he was younger, all the love and attention he doesn't deserve.

"No one hates you as much as you do," Crowley told him once. That's Dean's whole M.O. right there. His two fundamental truths are that it is his job to save everyone, and that no matter how many people he saves it will never change the fact that he is 90% crap.
Dean knows who he is. Yeah, he's done some good for the world, okay, he gets that. But deep down? The person he is inside is still worthless. Dean will never be good enough, never be any kind of role model. He's never going to shake that, so if that's what this whole seven trials angelic bullshit is about, then he and Cas might as well hold hands and drive off the cliff now.

Summary
In order to retrieve notes that John Winchester forgot to add to his journal in 1994 that are relevant to the Sam & Dean's latest case, Castiel agrees to travel back in time. The glimpse he gets into Dean's difficult life as a 15 year old is more than he bargained for, and he and Dean have a lot to talk (and think) about when he gets back to 2009. Will the things he saw drive them apart, or push them closer together? (take a wild guess ;) )

Summary
When Dean wakes in a strange prison cell, he quickly realizes he's become another victim of the mystery monster he and Sam have been hunting: a creature who sucks the marrow right out of people's bones. There are years--sometimes decades--between the killings, and no connection between them but men who were big, strong, and healthy when they disappeared.
Dean learns right up close and personal why the monster picks who he picks. Unfortunately, stuck behind bars, consistently outmatched, and growing weaker by the day, he's having a tough time putting that information to good use. But Cas can't hear his prayers anymore (and doesn't owe him shit anyway, the way he left the guy), and Zeke might or might not have his ears on (and might or might not let Sam do anything about it even if he did), and Dean ain't no damsel in distress besides. He's gonna get out of there no matter what it takes, and he's damn well gonna make sure this monster never hurts anyone again--especially not the guy he finally finds the courage to admit he loves.

“Oi,” says Crowley. “Angel. Remember you owe me that favor?”
“Oh, do I? I must do. Dear me, I seem to forget, sometimes.”Before the arrangement, there were favors. Which is how Aziraphale finds himself at a Greek crossroads just before midnight making a crossroads deal on Crowley’s behalf. Trouble is, he’s not the only one at the crossroads. A goddess is there, and she’s got a deal in mind of her own…

Summary
In the beginning of the sixteenth century, Aziraphale and Crowley converge on a monastery in northern England, each on an assignment as an undercover priest.
Or, on the nature of miracles, love, and forgiveness.
“Give it a try.”
“What?”
“Confess to me.” His voice was low and sweet.
“What - I - confess what?” Aziraphale said, and laughed nervously. “I have nothing to confess. Certainly not to you.”
“Well, how about drinking in the confessional? Start small.”
“What - I - you tricked me into doing that!”
“I thought angels couldn’t be tricked.”
“Tempted,” Aziraphale said, absent-mindedly. “Angels can’t be tempted. Alright, fine. Yes, I confess to - to drinking in the confessional. Give me that,” he said, reaching over into Crowley’s side and wrenching the bottle out of his hand. He drank, and tucked the bottle between his thighs, daring Crowley to say something.
“See?” Crowley said. “S’easy once you start. Go on then, what else?”Bookmarked by mirrors_everywhere

Summary
After spending six thousand years in Aziraphale’s company, the only thing Crowley’s sure of is that he can’t touch the angel without hurting him. Too bad he never bothered asking Aziraphale about it.
If Crowley could still feel the soft give of rich cloth under his clenched fists, surely Aziraphale could still feel the scorching heat of a demon’s hands on his skin.
If they made it out of this alive, Crowley decided, if there was anything left of the world afterwards, he’d be damned a second time if he ever put his hands on the angel again.

Summary
The Cold War is ending, and Crowley can’t help but love an angel.
Aziraphale hummed happily to himself and bustled about, getting out an appropriate tea service and putting a plate of scones on the table. Crowley helped himself to one, nibbling at it while he watched Aziraphale work.
He could almost see the angel’s halo when he was like this, lost in some pleasant task and content in his labor. So much less fraught, going through rituals like these with no one to see and judge and reprimand if anything wasn’t done to someone else’s standards. The only witness was Crowley, and Aziraphale had made it clear some time ago that if Crowley had a complaint about how Aziraphale made his tea, he was quite at liberty to go home and make his own. No, this was something Aziraphale was doing for himself, because he found it soothing and pleasurable and good, and Aziraphale was practically glowing with it.

Summary
A part 3 for the events of 1941. Crowley falls asleep on the couch in the bookshop, and Aziraphale begins a new volume of John Keats:
(He was skipping lines, he couldn’t quite concentrate––in his periphery, which he longed to ignore, he could see Crowley rising––)
Full of the true, the blushful Hippocrene,
With beaded bubbles winking at the brim,Crowley pushed the book down into his lap with a single long finger, but Aziraphale didn’t look away from the page.
And purple-stained mouth;
That I might drink, and leave the world unseen,“Angel,” Crowley said.
And with thee fade away into the forest dim:
Crowley took his chin in his fingers and lifted Aziraphale’s face to meet his gaze.

"You can stay at my place, if you like."
Sitting beside Crowley on the bus, Aziraphale swallowed. He’d never even seen the inside of Crowley’s flat before. The invitation alone felt like too much: too much new, too much change, too much risk. And here he was, on his way there, trying very hard not to think about what it meant.

Summary
“I do like it,” he tells Crowley, albeit quietly now. Then, to illustrate his point, or maybe to try it on for size, “Anthony.”
The candlelight makes a shadowshow of Crowley’s throat, working to swallow the wine he has in his mouth. Aziraphale is walking a fine line. By their unspoken rules he can’t do this, cannot seek out this one truth, should not coax that truth out. But God forgive him, he can’t resist — can’t help trying to summon back what flashes across Crowley’s face for just a moment.—
It’s 1941. Aziraphale realises he’s in love. Then he does something about it.
