Peter tapped the metal on his wrist and a dense sound reverberated back.
And, yep—the day promptly turned from pretty bad in the standard Peter Parker way to catastrophically horrific in the DEFCON 1 way, because what he was looking at was a pair of Wakandan handcuffs that shackled him to the man he thought about strangling at least once per conversation, on average, not counting the outliers from days when the number rose to the double digits due to one-too-many yo mama jokes.
OR
Peter Parker has beef with Wade Wilson, and a very smug teammate decides that the solution is handcuffing them together until they work out their differences (or, perhaps, fall in love).

On the back of an electric bill that was two months late, Peter tried another story. He called it Empty, because that’s all he felt. And he gave himself an A and a grape-scented sticker, and a slash on each wrist, and he hung it on his fridge, because the last thing he wanted to remember was how it felt to do something right.

Peter hopes he doesn’t wake up alone to find that this is yet another dream of longing, the ghost of Deadpool’s fingertips against his skin as a false memory of solace.
He smiles even though he still has his mask on. “You’re my pillow,” he repeats, to cement it into reality.
And, god, he hopes it’s real, because he already can’t imagine sleeping without his pillow.

Peter arched a brow, grabbing a neon green pamphlet that threatened to fall from the plastic holder. SO YOU LIKE TO THROW UP, it read, in comic sans font.
He looked around to confirm that no one was watching before stuffing the pamphlet deep in his inner pocket, because, yeah, maybe he liked to throw up a little too much, and maybe it was starting to take a toll on his health just a tad.
OR
Peter definitely doesn't have a problem, but he owes a mercenary a dinner date, and all he can think about is how he is going to jam his fingers down his throat afterward.

Spider-Man crossed his arms. "I’m not hungry.”
“Come on, Twiggy," Deadpool pleaded as he shoved the plate forward. “I labored over these pancakes just for you. Grandma’s recipe!”
Spider-Man twisted towards the kitchen and narrowed his eyes at the box of pancake mix. “Your grandma is Aunt Jemima?”
“Yes, and now I am swooping in like an ethnically diverse knight to feed you! Come on, they're getting cold."
“Fine.” Spider-Man grabbed the plate roughly, pulling it to his chest. He shoved his mask up to his nose and dug the fork into the pancake as if it had personally insulted his mother.
OR
Deadpool, hopelessly in love with Spider-Man, attempts to rekindle their relationship after a past falling out by inserting himself into the vigilante's life. Chaos ensues as he tries to prove he's changed, but their conflicting morals and Spider-Man's mysterious decline in health make the task far more complicated than he anticipated.

Summary

Peter Parker is in his first year of college after taking several gap years, constantly dodging SHIELD recruitment, and has no idea how to maintain his secret identity while in school. His head has also been screwing with him lately, lots of "you're a failure", and not a lot of "you're doing your best!". So:

In which Peter is handling his collapsing life just fine as a freshman college student, who is also a vigilante, who is also having problems with life as an enhanced person, and it kind of feels like the world is ending all of the time, and then this "Deadpool" asshat crashes into his life. So yeah. Things are fine. Mostly.
Everything is a mess and Peter wants to die.

He just wanted stronger webs! That’s it! And now Tony knows that Peter actually prefers Steve’s cooking over his own, and is vehemently offended by the fact.
“You said you liked the casserole!” Tony exclaims, throwing his hands in the air. Peter groans, putting his head in his hands and trying to bite his tongue, but the words fall out anyways:
“I lied, okay? Steve is good at improvising with your random, bougie ingredients, you’re not!”
