    Summary

Stanley Pines would not describe his life as 'tragic'. That required a certain level of dignity that the universe refused to allow him. So really, this was par for the course. The least he can do is laugh about the whole thing. It’s a shame nobody else seems to agree with him.

    Summary

You boil the hell out of it.

An almost-full moon shone down from a cloudless sky, washing the world around Ford’s house in moonlight, stark and snow-bright. It had snowed heavily all day, leaving a fresh, thick layer on the ground. The snow clouds had been a dark, ominous blanket that’d blocked out most of the light, only to burn off like fog as night fell. As if day and night had switched roles.

There’d been murmurings it was the work of a vampire controlling the weather even before their newest headache had introduced himself and gave them an ultimatum.

“Send the vampire hunter out alone or we will slaughter everyone in your pathetic hovel!”

    Summary

The man leaned in, acting way too familiar for Stan’s liking. His head was half poked into the car, mere inches from Stan’s face, and he looked concerned. Not angry, not annoyed, just… concerned. Vaguely, Stan realized the man had a flashlight, illuminating his face and the inside of the car just enough to be seen properly.

“Are you alright?” he asked Stan.

Stan blinked, then mumbled “Uh, yeah, sorry, I’ll move.”

Or, the night after Stanley Pines is kicked out, he's meets a strange man he's never seen before. (Or has he?)

    Summary

As Ford flew one way, Stan went the other.
The freezing heat of the portal caressed at his skin like ocean waves lapping the shore. The sensation was intense, overpowering everything else. He couldn't even feel the brand on his shoulder anymore.
Before the maw swallowed him his eyes locked on his brother. Ford was screaming his name, hand outstretched.
    “I’m sorry.” Stan choked out.
Then, all he could see was light.

    Summary

Ford could be still alive out there. Ford could be already dead out there. The only way to know for sure was to fix the portal and turn it on.

Stanley’s state right now was better described from the superposition’s point. As a system of “Stanley is gone” and “Stanley is still Stanley”.

aka some quick sketches about Principle of Superposition and related to it "Schrödinger's cat" experiment as a Stan Twins metaphor that I decided to post here too.
