Summary
Leonard inhales.
And so does the tribble
So does the tribble.
Everyone in the medbay is looking at Leonard like he’s a mad man, like he’s lost the plot, as he yells for a cryotube. And, honestly, maybe he is mad; maybe he’s been driven insane by grief and anger, maybe he’s clutching at straws that don’t exist. Except….except, the tribble is right there, that tiny ball of fluff slowly rising and falling, indicating steady breathing. Something that wouldn’t happen if the tribble wasn’t alive. If injecting the little creature with Khan’s blood out of sheer curiosity hadn’t worked. And so Leonard is clinging on to that tiny, fluffy miracle, even as his staff shoot him looks ranging from wary to pitying to scared, because does it matter, truly, what they think? Does it matter if he looks like a man possessed, if this could actually work? If Jim wasn’t quite as gone as he seemed to be not even thirty seconds ago?

Summary
No, Jim was meant for far, far bigger things than anything Leonard could give him. Jim was going to change the world, to reach further and higher and better than anyone before him, and-
Well. Was is the key word there, isn’t it? Because he won’t do any of that. He won’t.
Because he’s dead.

Summary
And so he could be forgiven, Spock has concluded, when he is caught off-guard by his human nature. So much of his life has been spent in the pursuit of Vulcan values and emotionless logic that it is...disconcerting when he is reminded of his humanity, to say the least.
-----
Spock is constantly reminded of his humanity - however small and repressed that may be - by none other than James T. Kirk, and finds himself unprepared to deal with the emotional revelations this uncovers.

Summary
He’d always known he was made of stardust, had always been fascinated by it, but now his atoms were exploding stars and black holes and planets collapsing from the inside out, his body a mass of contradictions and pain and death of galactic proportions, and he doesn’t know how to stop it, doesn’t know how to cope.

Summary
Steve can’t tell you how long he’s been in love with Bucky.
Of course, years from now, in an interview, he won’t say that. He’ll spin a romantic tale about how he knew from the moment he saw Bucky - bold, daring and beautiful as he socked the guy beating on Steve right in the face, leaving him to scamper off with a crooked and bloody nose, his tail between his legs. But that isn’t the truth, not really.
~~~~~~
A soppy drabble about how Steve and Bucky knew - or, rather, didn't - that they loved each other.
